Plants exhibits reactions and motions to certain stimulus. Such as temperature, chemicals, surrounding, water, and etc. These are some tropic movements of plants. It may include phototropism, hydrotropism, chemotropism, and other tropic movements.
Phototropism is the biological process where plants gets attracted towards the light. We can say phototropism as phototropic movement. Example of the phototropism is the seedling crop grows towards direction of sunlight.
Chemotropism is the process when plants express reaction towards certain chemicals. It is known as chemotropic movement also. Example of chemotropism is growth of the pollen tube during fertilization downwards.
The stimulus of plants reacts towards the water is called hydrotropism. Example of hydrotropism is the soil with higher humidity i.e. water level, the plants roots grow towards it.
