We can make this sure with a simple balloon. When we fill air inside a balloon it expands with this we can see that air occupies space, if we make a hole in a inflated balloon it will push out air and with this we can see that air exerts pressure and an inflated balloon is heavier than a non-inflated one and with this we can see that air has mass
