in composite fish farming system combination of 6-7 fishes is used in a pond so that they do not compete for the food because of there different food habits. all fishes due to their different habits feed on different parts of food . for example: rohu feeds on middle portion of pond and common carp feeds on bottom portion
as five to seven fishes are cultivated at same time this helps to increase in fish yield
