Yes, displacement can be zero. displacement is the shortest distance between initial position and final position. if both are same, then least distance would be zero.

for example- if you travel from your home to school and back to home, distance would be twice the distance between your home and school. but, as the initial and final position are same and distance between your home and home is zero, hence displacement is zero.
