Answer:

If 'a' and 'b' are two numbers and if a/b is a rational number and 'n' is non-zero integer then, (a×n)/(b×n) is equivalent to a/b.

For example:

1/3 is a rational number. Then 2/6, 3/9, 4/12, 5/15 etc. are equivalent to 1/3. Because if we multiply both the numerator and denominator by same number like- 1,2,3,4,5..... then the fraction remains the same 1/3.

Answer:

For example, the fractions 37 and 2149 are equal because the numerator and the denominator of 2149 can be obtained by multiplying each of the numerator and denominator of 37 by 7. Also, −34 = −3×(−1)4×(−1) = 3−4, −34 = −3×24×2 = −68, −34 = −3×(−2)4×(−2) = 6−8 and so on …….
