let first know about how object like anything float on the water :-

some things float on water while some sink into water . paper boat floats on puddle of water ,and even some flowers and leaf like those of the Lotus plants float on water .a piece of stone does not float , but it sink into the water ,and so does a metal coin and object float or sink depends on its density .it is the density and not the size of an object that makes it float or sink and it is not depend on its weight it is depend on its density is whether the object is more dense then the object will not float on the water if the object has less dense than water then it will be float on it.

7) wood float on water if it is empty there will no wood between it and depends on it shape and density .
