Ocean Food Chain
In the ocean, you have a plant like organism, plankton, that is floating around in the waves. Since the plankton makes its' own food inside its' body, it receives all of its energy. A small shrimp swims up to the algae and starts to eat the plankton. Since the shrimp is the first to eat, it is called a primary consumer. As the shrimp eats the plankton, some of the energy stored in the plankton is lost.
Marine food chain :-
Phytoplankton →Zooplankton → Fish → Seal →White shark.
Food chain:- It is the sequence of living organisms in which one organism consume other organism for energy. It is unidirectional.
Here, phytoplankton is primary producer, zooplankton is primary consumer, fish is secondary consumer, seal is tertiary consumer, and finally white shark is quaternary consumer.
hence, every food chain started from producer low tropic levels and move towards consumers highest tropic levels.
