the example of geothermal energy is -- the rocks present at hot places ,heat the underground water and turn it to steam which get compressed at high pressure between the rocks  by drilling holes into earth up to the hot spots steam is extracted from points which is utilized to rotate turbine connected to the armature of an of an electric generator to produce electricity
