Ionic solids are composed of oppositely charged ions arranged in alternative space with uneven atomic size and with a strong electrostatic force existing in between the ions which makes them electrically inert in their solid state.
Ionic solids are not found in gaseous or liquid state at normal temperature and pressure.

Examples of ionic solids are:-
Sodium chloride - NaCl
Magnesium Chloride - MgCl2
Zinc Sulphide-ZnS

hope it helps
