Limits in real life
What is a limit?
A limit is a boundary or a defining line beyond which someone can't go. Like in mathematics we apply limits when we know that we can't put a number bigger than this in the variable. Such as x<2, means x can be anything but not greater than or equal to 2.
What are some of the examples of limits in real life?
- One of the examples is speed limits. When we travel, we see different speed limits written in different areas. That means we can't drive at a speed greater than the mentioned speed limit in this area.
- Another example is the time taken by a vessel to fill. T1 be the initial time and T2 be the time at which it gets filled. The limit would be T1<T2. This means that initial time will always be less than final time.
