shifting agriculture,also known as slash and burn agriculture,is when farmers clear land by slashing vegetation and burinng forests and woodlands to create clear land for agriculture purpose.

Shifting agriculture is also known as SLASH AND BURN METHOD,is a primitive agricultural practice in which a patch of forest is cleared,trees are felled and stumps are set on fire.Dry paddy,buckwheat,maize millets and vegetables are the crops grown in this type of farming.
