Although sikhism is seperate religion but under art 25(2)b sikhs, buddhist, jains have been reffered to as hindus and governed by similar laws ie Hindu sucession act 1956,hindu marriage act 1955,hindu gaurdianship and maintainence etc and word hindu is used as an expression jointly for all the religions and discriminates against other religion but one should not ignore the cosomopolitan outlook of the nation moreover the unity and the integrity envisaged by framers of constitution can be achieved through it.But now its high time to ammend it as the demand for the ammendment of same have been raised for so many years.
