Cold-blooded animals are known as conformers as their body temperature changes according to the ambient temperature. Warm-blooded animals are called as regulators as they are able to maintain the constant body temperature irrespective of ambient temperature.

Partial regulator changes their body temperature to a certain level of ambient temperature but when the temperature continues to increase they are able to maintain constant body temperature. Hence, called as a partial regulator.
