Positive acceleration= A bus or car moving with increasing speed has positive acceleration. We can say that it is accelerating with the direction of travel.

Example 1: the simplest case: kick a football. The ball accelerates positively during the very short time that your foot is in contact with the ball. [Same with hitting a golf ball with a golf club.]

Example 2: a rocket is on the launch pad. At the end of the countdown, it accelerates upwards (probably at 6 g). positive acceleration.
