i) HCl, HBr, H_{2}SO_{4}

ii) CH_{3}COOH , HNO_{2} , H_{3}PO_{4}

iii) NaOH, KOH, CsOH

iv) NH_{3} , ZnOH_{2} , PbOH_{2}

  • A strong acid completely ionizes in a given solution. And they are good proton donators. Hence examples like Hydrochloric acids, Hydrobromic acid, Sulphuric acid, Nitric acid, etc are some of the examples.
  • However, the weak acids partially dissociate in solution. Examples include Acetic acid, Formic acid, Oxalic acid, etc.
  • Strong bases completely dissociate in solution for yielding hydroxide ions as examples of Sodium hydroxide, Potassium hydroxide, etc are mentioned.
  • The exact opposite is weak bases. Ammonia, Zinc oxide, etc are some examples.
