- A strong acid completely ionizes in a given solution. And they are good proton donators. Hence examples like Hydrochloric acids, Hydrobromic acid, Sulphuric acid, Nitric acid, etc are some of the examples.
- However, the weak acids partially dissociate in solution. Examples include Acetic acid, Formic acid, Oxalic acid, etc.
- Strong bases completely dissociate in solution for yielding hydroxide ions as examples of Sodium hydroxide, Potassium hydroxide, etc are mentioned.
- The exact opposite is weak bases. Ammonia, Zinc oxide, etc are some examples.
