The audible frequency of a human ear is between 20hz to 20000hz
So any sound frequency which will be either less of more than the given range would be inaudible
For eg - Infrasound- the way whales, elephants ,etc communicate
Ultrasound - can be used to detect submarines or ships by casting a frequency higher than 20khz
(Hope this helped ya)
