Primary pollutants:- In environment these type of Pollutants persists in the form in which they are added directly.

Examples:- DDT, CO etc.

Secondary pollutants:- On the other hand this type of Pollutants are formed by the process of chemical reaction.

Examples:- Photochemical smog, London smog, PAN, 03, etc.

Synergism:- It is the process of formation of secondary pollutants this is Known as synergistn. Actually secondary pollutants are more toxic than primary pollutants.
