Axiom:-a statement or proposition which is regarded as being established, accepted, or self-evidently true. e.g "Two things that are equal to the same thing are also equal to each other" . This Euclid axiom can be proved by taking any number .
A+C = B+C
which implies that A= C
Postulates :- an assumption used as a basis for mathematical reasoning. or A statement that is assumed true without proof. e.g. If we say that in English alphabet B comes A . that means we don't have to prove here How it does.
