Protozoa, or animal-like protists, have characteristics of animal cells.Examples: Amoeba and Paramecium, both unicellular. Algae, or plant-like protists, have characteristics of plant cells. Examples: Chlamydomonas (unicellular), Volvox and kelp (bothmulticellular).
