The story A Triumph of Surgery is written by James Herriot. This story is about a dog named Tricki. He was having a luxurious life. His owner Mrs. Pumphrey loves him as her own child. So, she made Tricki's life so comfortable. she used to overfeed Tricki out of her love and concern. She used to serve him cod-liver oil and malt between the main meals and Horlicks after dinner to give him strength. She never realized that this overfeeding of Tricki would spoil his health. One day she observed that her overfeeding made the dog lazy, inactive and obese. This made Tricki hospitalised. This proved that excess of everything is bad.
