Answer:

(i)People are considered as resources because they have skills, mind and knowledge to do various things. They invent different things and through this there is a progress and we become technologically advanced. ... Thus without the HUMAN RESOURCES there will be no other resources.

(ii)The distribution of population in the world is uneven. Some areas are very crowded while some are sparsely populated. There are various reasons behind uneven distribution:

Geographical factors: Favorable topography, availability of mineral and freshwater resources, favorable climate and soil fertility are some of the reasons affecting population distribution. Indo-Gangetic Plains, Diamond Mines of South Africa, etc, are densely populated.

(iii)This rapid growth increase was mainly caused by a decreasing death rate (more rapidly than birth rate), and particularly an increase in average human age. By 2000 the population counted 6 billion heads, however, population growth (doubling time) started to decline after 1965 because of decreasing birth rates.

(iv)Two factors influencing the change in population are birth rate and death rate. Birth rate is the number of births per 1,000 people and death rate is the number of deaths per 1,000 people. Births and deaths are the natural causes of population change.

(v)The composition of the population refers to the structure of the population. Age, sex ,literacy and occupation are some components of population composition. These components very greatly from country to country and from time to time .

(vi)A population pyramid is a way to visualize two variables: age and sex. They are used by demographers, who study populations. A population pyramid is a graph that shows the distribution of ages across a population divided down the center between male and female members of the population. The graphic starts from youngest at the bottom to oldest at the top. It is called a population pyramid because when a population is growing (there are more babies being born than there are people dying), the graphic forms the shape of a triangle. A population pyramid can be used to compare differences between male and female populations of an area. They also show the number of dependents (children and, sometimes, elderly people) and general structure of the population at any given moment.
