Read the following passages and answer the given questions:
A fashionable gentleman was strolling along with a gold-headed cane. A miserable
looking lame came before him. He requested him to give him some-thing. The
gentleman gave him a rupee. Then a man who was standing near him, come up
and said, "How can you be so foolish? Do you not know that fellow is not a cripple
at all? He is a sheer cheat. Just give me your stick so that I may punish him for his
wickedness." The gentleman acceded to the request. The beggar having heard what
was said ran away like a trained horse. The other man rushed after him in hot pursuit
shouting that he would punish him for cheating a gentleman. Both disappeared round
a corner and the gentleman went on waiting. Nobody came back, then he realized
that he was cheated.
