  1. This reaction can be classified as combination reaction or exothermic oxide. We can see that on pouring water on CaO calcium hydroxide is formed as well as heat is released. CaO +H2O---->Ca(OH)2+ heat.

3. The substance left is ferric oxide Fe2O3. It is a brown powder.

4.The similarity between double displacement reaction is that the compounds react by an exchange of ions. Also a precipitate is left out.
