3 months in 1 year [12 Months]

GIVEN :-

☞ Principal = ₹9600

☞ Time = 3 months or 0.25 Years

☞ Rate of Interest = 3.5%

TO FIND :-

☞ Simple Interest

☞ Amount

SOLUTION :-

There are 12 months in 1 year.

So we have convert months into years.

3 months =   \sf\frac{3}{12}  = 0.25 \: Years

Formula for Simple Interest,

 \fbox{ \sf SI\:  =  \frac{PRT}{100}}

Here,

SI = Simple Interest

P = Principal

R = Rate

T = Time

 \sf \frac{9600 \times 0.25 \times 3.5}{100}

 \sf = 96 \times 0.25 \times 3.5

 \sf \:  = 96 \times 0.875

 \sf = 84

∴ Simple Interest is ₹84.

Formula for Amount,

Here,

SI = Simple Interest

 \sf 9600 + 84

 \sf = 9684

∴ Amount is ₹9684.
