Given:-

  • Diagonal = 30cm
  • Perpendiculars drawn to it from the opposite vertices are 14 m and 12 m.

To find:-

  • Area of the quadrilateral.

Solution:-

Generally, a quadrilateral is the combined form of a regular or an irregular triangle.

To find the area of a quadrilateral,

1.Find the area of the individual triangles

2.Add the area of the individual triangles.

Using the formula,

Area of quadrilateral = (1/2) × diagonal length × sum of the length of the perpendiculars drawn from the remaining two vertices.

Putting values,

➺Area = (1/2)×30×(14+12)

➺15(14+12)

➺15(26)

390m²

Therefore, the area of quadratic field is 390m².
