Solution:
Time in Mumbai = 3 years 7 months
Time in Pune = 2 years 9 months
Total Time = 3 years 7 months + 2 years 9 months
= 5 years + 16 months
16 months = 12 months + 4 months
= 5 years + 12 months + 4 months
1 year = 12 months
= 5 years + 1 year + 4 months
= 6 years + 4 months
= 6 years 4 months
Total time spent in two places = 6 years 4 months
