Step-by-step explanation:

firstly we find area of ∆ AED

area of ∆ AED=1/2×b×h

= 1/2×6×8

= 24cm^2

now area of TREPEZIUM EBCD

area of Trepezium = 1/2×h(a+b)

( here. a(ED) , b(BC)are parallal side of Trepezium EBCD and h for height)

a(ED) =6 cm

b(BC) = 12 cm

h= 13-8=5cm

= 1/2×5(6+12)

= 1/2×5×18

= 5×9

45 cm^2

total area of figure = area of triangle+ area of Trepezium

= 24+45

=69cm^2
