3) The population of a city increases each year by 4% of what it had been at the beginning
of each year. If its present population is 6760000, find :
(1) its population 2 years hence (ii) its population 2 years ago.

Current Population=6760000 , R=4%

After 1 year

Population=6760000+ 100/4 ×6760000=7030400

After 2 years

Population=7030400+ 100/4×7030400=7311616

Since the population of the city is not 7058522 after 2 years.
