1.Renu purchases two bags of fertiliser of weights 75 kg and 69 kg. Find the maximum
Value of weight which can measure the weight of the fertiliser exact number of times,
2.Three boys step off together from the same spot. Their steps measure 63 cm, 70 cm
and 77 em respectively. What is the minimum distance each should cover so that all
can cover the distance in complete steps?
3.The length, breadth and height of a room are 825 cm, 675 cm and 450 cm respectively.

Answer:

Ans. 1.

Renu purchases two bags of fertiliser of weights 75 kg 69 kg . Find the maximum value of weight which can measure the weight of the fertiliser exact number of times.

Two bags are of weight 75 & 69 kg

Lets find HCF of 75 & 69

75 = 3 * 5 * 5

69 = 3 * 23

Only Common Factor = 3

Hence Maximum value of Weight = 3 kg which can measure the weight of the fertilizer exact number of times.

Ans2.

Step measure of 1 Boy=63cm

Step measure of 2 Boy=70cm

Step measure of 3 Boy=77cm

LCM of 63,70,77

LCM=2×3×3×5×7×11=6930

Hence, the minimum distance each should cover so that all can cover the distance in complete steps is 6930 cm.

Ans 3.-

To find the longest tape, which can measure dimensions of the room exactly, we have to find HCF of the dimensions,

825=3\times5\times5\times11

675=3\times5\times3\times3\times5

450=3\times3\times5\times2\times5

the common factors of 825, 625 and 450 are 5\times5\times3=75

hence, HCF of 825,625 and 450 is 75cm
