Five years later, naturalist came to see him, and after
passing through his garden, said, "That bird is eagle,
not chicken."
“Yes," said its owner, "but I have trained it to be chicken
It is no longer eagle; it is chicken even though it measures fifteen feet from wingtip
to wingtip"
"No," said naturalist, it is still eagle, it has heart of eagle, and I will make it soar to
heaven."
"That's impossible," said owner, "it is chicken and it will never fly."
They agreed to test it.
The next morning naturalist rose early and took eagle outside city, away from houses
to foot of a high mountain. He picked up eagle and said to it, "Eagle, you are eagle,
you belong to sky and not to this earth Stretch your wings and fly" Eagle looked
around and trembled as if new life were flowing into it. It stretched out its wings and
flapped them few times. Suddenly, with screech of eagle, it lifted itself into air.
the
At first it was clumsy, and it wobbled as it flew. But soon it became more graceful
and
confident. It never returned. It was eagle, though it had been treated
as chicken
So children, even if people consider you to be chickens, remember you are eagles,
so soar and fly!

In other words, a substance is a pure single form of matter As we look around, we can see that most of the matter around us exist as mixtures of two or more pure components, for example, sea water minerals, sol etc are all mixtures . 2.1 What is a Mixture? Mixtures are constituted by more than one kind of pure form of matter We know that dissolved sodium chloride can be separated from water by the physical process ofHave you ever noticed the word pure written on the packs of these consumables? For a common person pure means having no adulteration But for a scientist all these things are actually mixtures of different substances and hence not pure For example. milk is actually a mixture of water fat proteins etc When a scientist says that something is pure. it means that all the constituent particles of that substance are the same in their chemical nature A pure substance consists of a single type of particles.
