- Let x>y.
- 3x = 2y +10 ...(i)
- x+2y =6 ...(ii)
x=6-2y
Putting ii in i, we get
- 3(6-2y) = 2y +10
- 18-6y = 2y +10
- 2y + 6y = 18 - 10
- 8y = 8
- y = 1
