Solving eqn (i)
2x+3y=3500
Can as well be written as
2x=3500–3y
x=[3500–3y]÷2 ____ (iii)
Using equation (iii) to solve equation (iii)
3x+2y=4000
Since we now know x,
3([3500–3y]÷2)+2y=4000
By solving the equation, will have,
10500–9y+4y=8000
Or,
9y-4y=10500–8000
