1. Use X as the variable and translate each of the following statements into an equation;
(1) The sum of two consecutive numbers is 21.
(ii) Twice a number subtracted from 10 gives 2.
(iii) One-eighth of a number added to 6 gives 8.
(iv) Twice a number when divided by 5 gives 6.
(v) A number when divided by 7 gives a quotient 6 and a remainder 2.
find the solution of the following equations.​

equation :-

i) x + x+1 = 21

ii) 10 - 2x = 2

iii) x/8 + 6 = 8

iv) 2x/5 = 6

v) x/7 = 6 + 2

solution :-

i) 10

ii) 4

iii) 16

iv) 15

v) 56
