Exercise: Commas
Rewrite the following passage, inserting commas where necessary
I remember that day very well. I took a message to Mr Lee my father's
oldest friend. His house which is old and spooky was very dose to
where I lived. I walked along the path through his untidy overgrown
weedy front garden and feeling a little uncertain not to mention
slightly afraid I decided to knock on the door. Lifting the knocker
banged it hard on the door. The sound which echoed throughout
the house seemed to hang in the air. There was no reply however so
I tried again. The door finally creaked open; peering out at me as if it
was a ghostly apparition was a withered bearded but kindly face. It said
in a shaky voice "Can I help you?
