Question :

If ratio between prices of T.V. and Fridge

is 3 : 2 and cost of T.V. is 6000 more

than fridge. Find out the cost of fridge.

Answer :

\sf\pink{Given:}

  • Ratio of prices of TV to fridge is 3:2 .

  • Cost of TV is 6000 more than fridge .

\sf\pink{To\:find:}

  • cost of fridge ?

Explanation :

  • let the cost of fridge be "x" .

  • therefore cost of TV = x + 6000

\longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{3}{2} = {x + 6000}{x}}

\\ \\ \longrightarrow\sf{3\times x = 2( x + 6000)}

\\ \\ \longrightarrow\sf{3x = 2x + 12000}

\\ \\ \longrightarrow\sf{3x - 2x =  12000}

\\ \\ \longrightarrow\sf{x =  12000}

  • Therefore the cost of fridge is x that is 12000
