let the digit in the tens place is x.

let the digit in one's place is y.

the number is( 10 x + y)

From the equation 1

the sum of the digit is 9

x + y = 9

x= 9 - y

From the equation 2

The no. is six time the unit

10x + y = 6y

put the two equation together

x = 9-y equation 1

10 x + y =6y equation 2

find y :

subtract 1 into 2

10 ( 9 - y ) + y =6y

90 - 10 y + y = 6y

90 - 9y = 6y

15y = 90

y= 90÷ 15

y=6

find x :

when y is 6

x = 9-6=3

x=3

find the no.

10x + y

10×3 + 6

30 +6

=36
