The answers are as follows:

A1. We should store water to reduce the wastage of water and save water for future needs.

2. During the early time, water was traditionally stored in the house in mud pots. Keeping water in mud pots keeps the water cool.

3. A dam is always built over a river or stream. It is built to store water from the river and control the flow of water.

4. While using water, we must keep in mind that water should not be wasted. There is little fresh water left on Earth and we should conserve our water resources.

5. Water pollution refers to the contamination of water resources by chemical fertilizers, untreated sewage, vehicle fumes, etc.

B. The methods of water storage are as follows:

  • Rainwater harvesting- Saving the rainwater in underground pipelines is an effective method of water conservation.
  • Storing water in tanks and wells is also very helpful.

C. The good habits that we must cultivate to use water economically are as follows:

  • Use buckets to bath. Avoid the usage of the shower.
  • Recycle water by using them in car washing, gardening, etc.
  • Turn off the tap while brushing.
