Mother Teresa on her42nd birth day in 1952, two years after she established Missionaries of charity  in Kolkata.

Ans:- Teresa was first recognised by the Indian government more than a third of a century earlier, receiving the Padma Shri in 1962 and the Jawaharlal Nehru Award for International Understanding in 1969.
