There are mainly four types of sentences.
1. Affirmative / Declarative Sentences - A sentence that makes a statement. Start with capital letters and ended with a full stop '.'. It is also known as Simple Sentence.
example - She is a cute girl.
2. Interrogative Sentences - A sentence that enquiries about something. It starts with a capital letter, end with a question mark '?'.
example - Is she is a cute girl?
3. Imperative Sentence - A sentence that expresses a command, request or advice.
example - Please give our book.
4. Exclamatory Sentence - A sentence that expresses emotions like surprise, pain, anger etc.
example - what a cute girl she is!
And lastly, one more type of sentence and that is Negative Sentence. In this type of sentence not is used. A sentence negates a fact.
example - She will not come.
