the three federal features of indian constitution r as follows:
1) union list : a list which include the subjects of national importance such as defence , banking ,etc these subjects r included as we need a policy which is uniform throughout the country . central govt.makes laws on it
2) state list : a list that includes the subjects of state and local importance like trade,police,etc. star govt.makes laws on it.
3)concurrence list : list which has subjects of both national and state importance such as forest,education,etc.both state and central govt can make laws on it .. when there r conflicts in making laws mostly central govt.s decision is preferred
