Jurisdiction of the Supreme Court of India:

The Supreme Court has three jurisdiction  

  • Original jurisdiction  
  • Appellate jurisdiction  
  • Advisory jurisdiction  

Original jurisdiction has special power to give attention to all cases that deals with squabble between the individual states or between states and Union governments. It also has the rights to scrutinize the lower court's conclusions.  

Appellate jurisdiction has power to review the conclusion of the lower court. Depending on the intensity of case and decision taken by the court, the appellate court investigate particular legal rules which was taken by the trial court to deal with correct decision.  

Advisory jurisdiction is when the lower court or any other constitutional body need an advice or opinion from high court in matter of law.
