There are two stages of photosynthesis :

1)In this process green plants absorbs light from sunlight .

2)In second stage green plants converts light energy into chemical energy .This energy is used to make glucose from carbon dioxide and water and release oxygen as a waste.

Importance of Photosynthesis:

1)It provides food for plants and animals in the form of carbohydrates or glucose.

2) Oxygen we breathe release from this process.

3) It also removes carbon dioxide from the air.
