H2 is a first known element, to be stable it is always shares it electron with other Hydrogen.

This is known as Covalent Bond between Hydroge element.

H - H ==> H2

Since each Hydroge have 1 electrons in its outermost shell to complete its deplete these Hydrogen will share there electron and will be stable ..
