dipole moment :- system of two charge which magnitude are equal but sign are opposite , placed some distance , is called dipole .
and product of charge and distance between them is called dipole moment.
e.g let two charge +Q and -Q placed d distance .

dipole moment = Q × d
in experimental :- it is used to find ionic character of componds ,
if ionic character given,
then, we find dipole moment theoritically by using -----
