Answer:-

To Expand:-

(2x + 3y)²

Procedure:-

(2x + 3y)²

= (2x)² + 2(2x)(3y) + (3y)²

[∵ (a + b)² = a² + 2ab + b²]

= 4x² + 12xy + 9y²

(2x + 3y)² = 4x² + 12xy + 9y²

More Algebraic Identities:-

  • (a - b)² = a² - 2ab + b²
  • a² - b² = (a + b)(a - b)
  • (a + b + c)² = a² + b² + c² + 2(ab + bc + ca)
  • (x + a)(x + b) = x² + (a + b)x + ab
  • (a + b)³ = a³ + b³ + 3ab(a + b)
  • (a - b)³ = a³ - b³ - 3ab(a - b)
  • 4ab = (a + b)² - (a - b)²
  • 2(a² + b²) = (a + b)² + (a - b)²
  • (a + b + c)(a² + b² + c² - ab - bc - ca) = a³ + b³ + c³ - 3abc
  • a³ - b³ = (a - b)(a² + ab + b²)
  • a³ + b³ = (a + b)(a² - ab + b²)
