Expand: (2x – 3y)²

Solution: For this question, Identity would be used (a - b)² = a²+b² -2ab

•°• (2x-3y)²

= 4x² + 9y² - 2.2x.3y

= 4x² + 9y² - 12xy

Factorize : (i) x²-16

Solution : For this question, Identity would be used (a² - b² ) = (a+b)(a-b)

•°• ( x² - 16 )

= (x-4)(x+4)
