(2x+1/2x)^2 can be simplified using the identity (a+b)^2=a^2+b^2+2ab
So.............
(2x)^2+(1/2x)^2+(2)(2x)(1/2x)
=4x^2+1/4x^2+2x^2 is the answer!!
Hope it helps

Solution:

(2x+½x)²

=(2x)²+(½x)²+2(2x)(½x)

=4x²+¼x²+2x²

Formula:
