We live in deeds, not years, in thoughts, not breaths

It is absolutely true we live in our deeds, not years, in thoughts, not breaths.

Wise people say, ‘Actions speak louder than words.’ A man is known by his actions. People who are great, their actions are always great. On the other hand ordinary people act ordinarily; and villains act evilly. Our deeds are the fruit of the tree of our character.

All great men and women of all climes and times have been men of great deeds. Jesus Christ, Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, Mahatma Gandhi, Yogananda, Vivekanada, Bhagat Puran Singh, Tagore, etc became great because of their great deeds! That’s why it has been rightly said, ‘Watch your thoughts. They become words. Watch your words. They become deeds. Watch your deeds. They become habits. Watch your habits. They become character. Character is everything.’

We must train the children and students from the very young age to do good deeds. Teachers, parents, and other elders must ensure to provide healthy environment to the young children to develop great characters. For this, they must act as perfect role models for them.
