HIV - Human Immunodeficiency Virus

It destroys the immune system of our body by getting multiplied in macrophages and destroys helper T cells of our body and thus decreasing immune, power leading to AIDS ( Aquired Immuno Defeciency Syndrome)

HIV can be diagnosed by an antigen antibody interacting test ELISA .

Prevention :

  • Using sterilised needles for injections
  • Careful blood transfusions
  • Avoiding sexual contact with unknown and multiple partners
