In the present world, looks and appearances can be deceiving, but the reality maybe is different.

Everything that glitters like Gold may not necessarily be Gold, but they may hold the same characteristics as the element gold.

A well-dressed and an attractive man always get attention, but might not be as good as one thinks.

Similarly, a rugged, poorly-dressed man might make you not go near him, but might be the one pure and kind at heart.

The proverb phrase tells one not to judge a person by their outer appearances as not everyone is good at heart as according to their looks.
